-
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
Another classic where a girl is swept away to a strange land and meets odd companions, but with a clearer quest.
-
Coraline A girl finds a door to a stranger, darker version of home, written with the same sense of unsettling wonder.
-
The Little Prince Short and whimsical too, but gentler and more focused on feeling than on silliness.
